VIESTE SUMMER 2026: A POSTER THAT TELLS THE IDENTITY OF A CITY

Music, culture, sport, traditions, major guests and enhancement of the local area: from May to October, more than four months of events to experience Vieste in all its shades.

Vieste is preparing to experience a new long, intense and emotionally rich summer. A calendar that spans the entire season, from May to October, transforming the city into a widespread stage where culture, entertainment, sport, art and traditions intertwine with the extraordinary beauty of the landscape.

An extensive programme, developed with the involvement of associations, organisers, cultural operators and local sports organisations, featuring events distributed throughout the season and designed for different audiences.

Marina Piccola, the Carlo Nobile Amphitheatre, the Swabian-Aragonese Castle, the historic centre and the city’s main areas will once again host the summer programme. This choice allows already well-known spaces to be further enhanced while also distributing events across different parts of the territory.

The calendar includes a wide variety of names and formats. Danilo Rea will bring the project “Giordano in Blue” to Vieste, Drusilla Foer will star in an evening combining words and music, while Amii Stewart and Vince Tempera will enrich the programme with two highly anticipated events. There will also be moments dedicated to public discussion and outreach, such as the meeting with Manila Gorio on the topic of information and fake news.

A significant part of the programme is dedicated to sport. From the Olympic Gold Triathlon to the Nastro Rosa Tour, passing through the King & Queen of the Beach, the Italian Windsurfing Championship, the Vieste Open Water and the Rally Porta del Gargano, the city will host events attracting athletes, enthusiasts and visitors from various Italian regions.

There will also be ample space for the visual arts. The “M. Petrone” Civic Archaeological Museum will host an exhibition dedicated to Giorgio De Chirico, while Torre San Felice will feature works by Renato Guttuso. At Torre di Porticello, the path launched in recent years will continue with installations, photography projects and artist residencies curated by cultural operators and collectives.
